HW #4

1. Canon Law was a system created by Church to guide peoples conduct. Medieval Christians, Kings, and Peasants had to obey the law.
2. What happened to a person or a king who disobeyed the law was excommunication which meant that the king would be denied salvation or the interdict which meant that many sacraments and religious services could not be performed in the king's lands. It was bad because kings believed that the without the sacraments they were doomed for eternal suffering in hell.
